Planning and tracking

From the backlog to the release, in one place

Scrum and Kanban boards, a ranked backlog, sprints, releases and a timeline across projects. Search with a JQL-like query language, and read reports that cover the whole history of your work.

Boards

Boards that fit how the team works

Scrum boards follow the active sprint; Kanban boards show the flow of work. Edit the columns right on the board, set WIP limits, group cards into swimlanes and narrow them with quick filters, down to one person's work.

  • Choose what each card shows
  • Everyone sees changes as they happen, without reloading
  • Drag a card to run the workflow transition behind it

Backlog and sprints

Plan sprints from a ranked backlog

Drag issues into order and into sprints, with story points adding up as you go. Start a sprint, and when you complete it, send what's still open to the backlog or the next sprint.

Releases gather the work that ships together, so you can see what's left before a version goes out.

Timeline

See the big picture

Epics and their issues on a time axis, for one project or across all of them, with sprints and releases marked. Arrows show what blocks what, and conflicts stand out when a blocker ends after the work it holds up. Drag a bar to reschedule it.

  • An automation rule can stretch an epic's dates over its stories

Reports and dashboards

Reports that cover the past

Every issue records its lead time, cycle time and time in each status. Sprint reports with scope-aware burndown and burnup, velocity, cumulative flow, created versus resolved and breakdowns by any field build on that history.

Dashboards put them together from gadgets, for the whole team or just for you.

  • Imported projects bring their history, so the charts cover the past too
  • Searches, boards and reports are measured against 100,000 issues

Issues

Everything about an issue, in one place

Epics hold stories, tasks and bugs, which hold sub-tasks. Issues carry custom fields, links (blocks, relates, duplicates, clones), attachments, watchers and a full history, and show their branches, pull requests and pipelines next to the conversation.

  • Time tracking: estimates, work logged as 1w 2d 3h, a burndown in hours and a timesheet with CSV export
  • Notifications in the app and by email, immediately or in a daily digest
